August 25, 2011 -- These type of events are so much scarier once you have children. When I lived in Richmond, I went through two pretty severe hurricanes and this time it's scarier just thinking about how to keep the boys safe in the event that it does hit NJ. Ray and the boys put all the outside stuff away tonight. I'm filling water bottles, we've got plenty of food, but not sure what else we really should be doing.
We cancelled our trip to Lancaster but we may have actually been safer there but they still do not know the path of the storm and we didn't want to be away from home if it hit farther west. Mother Nature is a women so of course she is unpredictable to even the most trained professional and high tech device ;)
Our prayers go out to all our friends and family up and down the East Coast. Stay safe everyone!!!!!

We are a family of four hoping to be a family of five in the future. We have started our journey to make our family complete through the domestic adoption of a baby girl. We want to add a little princess to our family to compliment our two princes. [
